As a service professional, how much does it cost to receive and reply to request's for work and related service?

As an iforhire.com service professional, you will receive work requests from potential customers and be able to view the projects at no cost. Charges apply ONLY if you decide to respond to these requests for service or projects.

Each billing period runs on a 30day cycle (non-reoccurring). After a service professional has paid for the 30 day period, he/she can reply to up to 10 projects for their chosen category within that period. If you elect to reply to more than 10 projects, you must pay the monthly amount and your 30 day billing cycle begins again.

Rates for the professional service that you provide are listed below.

Why do I have to be a member to post my request for service on iforhire.com ?

To become a member you must have a valid email address and phone number. These two items are verified in our membership approval process. By doing so, we discourage individuals from posting requests for service that may be inappropriate.

Do all responses from service professionals to customers require a cost?

No. Although a number of service professionals can price services without having to come to your home, others must see the project for themselves. You can also add attachments to your request for service that include pictures or drawings that will aid the service professional in the pricing process.

An example of a service that does not have to be seen is the request for flight instruction. These are normally priced by the hour.

An example where a service professional would have to see the project would be a room addition to your home. A project of this size requires more detail and input.

What is the difference between a category and a sub-category?

An example of a category would be “Home Improvement”. A sub- category of home improvement would be “Gutter Installation”. When placing your request for service, you would pick the closest sub-category available. If an adequate category or subcategory does not exist for your project, click here and send your request to have it added to our database.

As a service professional, how many sub-categories can I select to receive emails for? 

A service professional can select up to three sub-categories from any one category to receive emails from customers requesting services or work.

What kind of project or work request can I post on iforhire.com ?

As a rule of thumb, if you can find the service provided in the local Yellow Pages, you can post it on iforhire.com . Your post or request cannot contain profanity of any type or request any service that would be deemed illegal in any state. Any post found containing either of these two items will be immediately removed from iforhire.com and the membership of the individual making the post will be revoked.

How old do I have to be to post a request for service or become a Service Professional for iforhire.com ?

The minimum age to post a request for service or to become a service professional is 18 years old.
